Description
The Rio Texas Game Load 36 HV is a 12-gauge lead upland and small-game shotshell built for hunters who want dependable high-velocity performance out of a standard 2-3/4″ chamber. Loaded with 1-1/4 ounces of 6 lead shot and providing strong 1340 feet per second at the muzzle this Texas Game Load delivers the downrange energy and dense pattern you need to cleanly drop fast-flushing birds and other small game at practical field ranges. It is the kind of workhorse field load that lets you focus on the shot instead of second-guessing your ammunition.
Rio built the Texas Game Load line around three priorities: quality consistency and performance. The result is a shotshell that behaves the same way round after round box after box so your point of aim and follow-through stay predictable through a long day in the field. The 6 shot size offers a versatile pellet count with enough individual pellet weight to reach out while still filling out a pattern dense enough for pheasant dove and similar upland quarry. Paired with the 1-1/4 oz payload this load leans toward the higher-velocity end of standard field ammunition which helps shorten the lead on crossing and going-away birds.
The load uses a plastic case and a 2-3/4″ shell length for compatible 12-gauge shotguns.
The Texas Game Load company established its U.S. corporate headquarters in Texas after formalizing its American presence in 2002 and has since been at the forefront of the shooting industry. The commemorative Texas Game Load branding on these shotshells is a nod to Rio’s Lone Star State roots but the appeal is nationwide and the line has become a perennial favorite among hunters across the country.
